Când m-am mutat cu R , am avut nevoie de încă un șifonier pe lângă cele câteva sertare pe care mi le dăduse el din șifonierul lui, în speranța că vor încăpea toate lucrurile noastre ? . Am cumpărat șifonierul și, în timp ce eu mă luptam să ordonez, să aranjez și cum naiba să le mai împăturesc să încapă toate ?, R mă întreabă foarte serios: ” Când porți tu toate astea?! Că eu, până acum, te-am văzut în doar câteva pe care le tot rotești!” Și așa era.

Așa că am stat eu strâmb și m-am gândit drept: aveam multe haine pe care nu le purtam din diverse motive. Tot căutând soluții, a ajuns la urechile mele conceptul de garderobă capsulă. Pe scurt, acest concept înseamnă să deții doar o mână de haine, pantofi și accesorii care să se potrivească și pe tipul de corp din dotare ? și între ele.

N-am mai stat pe gânduri și am început să pun în aplicare ce am aflat. Pentru început am scos toate hainele și le-am probat, iar pe cele care nu se așezau bine pe mine le-am dat deoparte. Apoi am început să le selectez în funcție și de alte criterii:

• am verificat dacă sunt pătate, rupte, stricate fără putința de a fi reparate și cele care erau așa, le-am pus în altă grămadă pentru a le face cârpe de praf.
• următorul pas a fost să verific materialele din care erau făcute și dacă îmi declanșează vreo sensibilitate. Și pe acestea le-am pus în altă grămadă.
• cel din urmă test a fost să văd câte combinații pot face cu bluza respectivă, pantalonul ăla roz sau fusta de blugi. Dacă puteam face cel puțin 3 combinații cu piesa de îmbrăcăminte respectivă, atunci it was a keeper . ?

Aceștia au fost primii mei pași către o garderobă capsulă. Iar avantajele s-au văzut imediat: mai puține haine de spălat și aranjat, o garderobă mai bine întreținută și nu mai pierdeam ore întregi în fața șifonierul gândidu-mă cu ce mă îmbrac, având în vedere că hainele mele se potriveau între ele și erau foarte versatile.

I had a lot of clothes that I didn’t wear for various reasons. So I started looking for solutions and the concept of capsule wardrobe came to my ears. I stopped thinking and started implementing what I found out. Took out all the clothes, tried them on, and I’ve put aside the ones that didn’t fit me well. Then I started to select them according to other criteria:

• I checked if they were stained, or damaged beyond being repaire and the ones that were like that went in another pile to use them for cleaning the house.
• the next step was to check the materials they were made of and if they trigger any allergies. Than I put them in another pile.
• the last test was to see how many of them work with each other. If I could make at least 3 combinations with that piece of clothing, then it’s a keeper. ?

These were my first steps to a capsule wardrobe. And right away I saw the advantages: fewer clothes to wash and fold, a curated wardrobe and I did not waste hours in front of the closet thinking about what to wear, given that my clothes were very versatile.
